About it

Most children carry a backpack to school. Backpacks are useful for carrying books, computers, stationery and lunch. There are many makes and shapes of backpacks, and different patterns and colours too.

Your task

Draw fun and colourful patterns on your school backpack. Make your backpack patterns using coloured paper and coloured card, then attach them to your backpack using adhesive tape. See how it looks.*
(*A backpack is also known as a knapsack, rucksack, school bag, pack, and so forth.)

Do it step-by-step

To design is to make something new, just as we want it to be. We design step-by-step. The first step is to LEARN. We want to know more about the thing that we are designing. So, we learn about it. The next step is to DRAW. We draw it just as we want it to be. Drawing is designing. The last step is to MAKE. We make it just as we want it to be. When it is made, we can finally see it!
