About it

Flags are used by countries, states, schools, sports clubs, and other places. Flags show which country, state, school or club you belong to. People are proud of their flags. Flags are put on flag poles outside of buildings and other places. Flags are better when they look nice, are colourful, and are easy to remember. A flag can have a picture of something like an animal or an object.

Your task

Draw a pretty flag for your school, or for your class, or a flag for a club at your school. Decide what your flag will have. It might have a picture of an animal or another thing. Draw your flag on a sheet of paper using coloured pens or pencils. See how it looks.

Do it step-by-step

To design is to make something new, just as we want it to be. We design step-by-step. The first step is to LEARN. We want to know more about the thing that we are designing. So, we learn about it. The next step is to DRAW. We draw it just as we want it to be. Drawing is designing. The last step is to MAKE. We make it just as we want it to be. When it is made, we can finally see it!
